MLS doesn't crown its champion by the table, so the tiers read differently from Europe. The top band is the Supporters' Shield, the prize for the best regular-season record, and in recent seasons Inter Miami, LAFC, FC Cincinnati and the Columbus Crew have all had a claim on it. Below that are the clubs chasing a high playoff seed, then the pack scrapping just to reach the field, because MLS sends most of the league to the postseason and the cutoff line is where the tension really lives. At the bottom is the wooden-spoon race, the clubs playing out the string. There is no relegation, so the bottom is about pride, not survival.
Because the Cup is settled in the playoffs, an MLS tierlist is a claim about the long haul rather than one final. Nail the Shield race and the playoff cutoff and you have called the season that matters.

The scored games are the match calls and the Table. A correct match result scores points, 3 for a correct win call, 1 for a correct draw, and calling the exact final score is a Spot On for +5 on top. The Table scores every position on how close your call was to the real finish. A tier list scores nothing.
